Whilst at work today, I saw a nurse walking down a long corridor with a laminated floor. She was tall and somewhat walked with a bit of a fashion flare. It looked like as if she was on a catwalk! I then suddenly thought, wouldn't it be awesome to shoot in a hospital!

The 'clinical'ness of the hospital environment has a unique sense of mood. You would have never thought of using a hospital as a fashion shoot location, but it would be perfect to tell an editorial story. Something clinical, mixed with upbeat fashion. Wouldn’t that be cool!

Operating theatres themselves have amazing lights. In fact, multiple lights! Hung on the ceiling, adjustable, and intensity can be changed! What better place to shoot. In addition, there are tons of props! I just can’t even think where to begin. Syringes, masks, gloves, etc etc!

I can just imagine this editorial to have a couple of models, in fashion that looks slightly clinical, edgy and funky. I would prefer the cloths not to be too revealing. We need to respect the hospital. The important thing of the shoot would be the story to illustrate the clothing.

Im not sure where to find clinical looking cloths on the high street… but why not make some! There’s plenty of scrubs, gowns, latex gloves…

It would be an amazingly fun project. The only things is… hospital rules are pretty strict… can we get permission to shoot in the hospital? Worth finding out?
