Published! - Hasting Voice Front cover

Amazing news! My image got selected for the front cover for Hastings Voice Magazine.

My first front cover photo, although not a fashion magazine, I am extremely proud with this. I have been looking to submit a photo for the mag for a few months and that how the ideas for the harbour vintage shoot came about.

The photo conveys features of Hastings. The harbour boats with the RX signs give people the immediate connection to Hastings. I wanted to do portraiture because the magazine is about businesses and people in the Hastings community. The vintage styling and fashion represents all the antique and vintage shops around the old town area. In fact the hat was kindly lent to me by Katherine, one of the shop owners at '20th century Funking Junk'. The shop literally is full of antiques and you can spend hours looking around all the quirky items.

After meeting up with the editors of Hastings Voice, Ryan and Luke, who did a fab job distributing the magazines all over Hastings and St Leonard, I got my hands on some lovely printed copies! The first thing i did was went to '20th centary Funking Junk' to find Katherine, who was over the moon to see her hat on the front cover (plus the box of choc i brought her). Her face in this pic, absolutely priceless! Thank you Katherine!
