Living by the south coast of England, there are plenty of seaside cliffs that can be great locations for on-location shoots. One that particularly came to mind, especiallyfor a fashion shoot, are the white chalky cliffs, Dover, Seaford, Beachyhead for example. The white colour of these cliffs would give amazing backdrop, and help reflect natural light. A shallow depth-of-field would be needed just enough to blur out the fine details of the cliff wall that might otherwise be distracting.

I would imagine this shoot to be more edgy, shot in the unconventional mid-day and high sun. Why? harsh shadows give edge. The posing and direction of the model would be critical in this shoot to be flattering enough for the model. The general feel of the shoot should give a sea side high end feel. Cyan coloured sky for contrast.

We should aim to get some full length shots in front of the cliffs, as well as in front of the sea. Some seated and / or lying poses on larger rocks.

Model: Model with long hair, fairly sharp facial features with edgy look. Interesting posing for a high end look is important.

Clothing: Depends on season of the shoot. But most likely summer. then white, light blue, cyans, black colours would work. Clothing should be loose.

Make up: to compliment clothing.

Prop ideas: sea side things, shells, white balloon.
